| The nobles of Lithuania did not cease to exist when the Kingdom of Lithuania was transformed into the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, nor in 1795, when Russia annexed the remaining lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, nor in 1940, when the Republic of Lithuania was occupied. LBKS (the Royal Society of Lithuanian Nobles), as the lawful recipient of the patrimony bequeathed to them by their ancestors, joins the nobles of ancient Lithuania to their descendants in an organization of Lithuania's nobles. |
